So where the hell is Clementines? A question we ask ourselves everyday.
We finished recording in July, and managed to mix three songs. Now we're trying to find the best way to finish the mixing and get the record out.
We did everything ourselves last time, and the administrative and executive tasks piled up and made it hard -- for a long while -- to do anything but try and sell records. Which is fine and well, but our ambition is to *make* records, and our goal is to win back the time we need to do that.
How long will it take to get the record out? I wish I could tell you. At the moment, we have to wait for other people, and I can't tell when they'll come through for us.
What happens in the meantime? As you can see, we posted 3 mixes on myspace. We truly are working on a new website, and as soon as we can we'll put it up. And we're working on new songs. That's right: post-Clementines material. We may even release some of it as an EP in the coming months. A small, manageable, and limited release. Everything takes us a while because, at the moment, there is no real machinery behind us. We're trying to fit as much in the 24-hour day as we can, but just aren't very many of us.
However frustrated you are, we're that times ten. Hopefully, everything will shake out soon and we'll have a vast store of material to give to the world. Fingers crossed.
