"Making Friends" vs. "Last Chance America&quo;
I can kinda hear what you're talking about. Thematically though, I don't see it. A lot of Bishop Allen songs share similar lyrical traits: being optimistic through trial, solidarity among the downtrodden, an almost mystical view of womankind, and songs that seem to be a retelling of an entire night's events.
