music aside, i have been blown away by the artwork for the eps. i've always liked album art and it's one of the reasons i prefer owning actual cds to mp3s or buying from itunes, etc...
so far i think the artwork for april is my favorite. the digipak for the cd has been sitting on top of my CD chest since i got it last week because the CD is in the CD player; the CD chest is right by the front door. so every time i leave my apartment or come home i see it and every time it catches my eyes. the color of the sky behind an early-mid 20th C. skyline evokes some pretty strong pictures and thoughts in my mind and send me someplace else. it's caught up in this romanticized vision of pre-WW II NYC (esp. Brooklyn). it mostly has to do with summer and baseball, even though there's really nothing the in picture to make anyone think about those things.
