There was a fire in Greenpoint (where Justin lives) last night. Here's an excerpt from NYT article on it:
"The blaze consumed a former rope factory on West Street near the site of the Continental Iron Works in Greenpoint, which launched the ironclad warship Monitor for the Union 144 years ago..."
So I guess the "great iron works" is gone.
