Locksley though, was absolutely generic. I didn't see anything in their music that was interesting, and their crowd was just horrible. Described by the young teenage girl next to me as "like a mix between the beach boys and the Beatles", they sounded nothing like the beach boys, and had nowhere near the lyrical creativity of the beatles. They were extremely generic. Worse, the crowd they attracted was heavily learning towards the 14-17 girl swooning girl crowd. They were far from the worst band I've seen (that honor goes to the heavy metal-esque non-ironically stripping crew at Lit a few years back) but I don't think they had anything to recommend them over any other band in existence.
The matching outfits were a negative, not a positive. They all were even wearing the same shoes. The same shoes!
La Laque, the band with the violinist and keyboardist, did have a very nice sound. They sang entirely in French, except for the male guitarist, who might have been singing in English, but I'm not positive about that. They were pretty good.
BA and tWAS both had nice sets, even though Christian's guitar wasn't working. I think this is the second time he's played on Keith's guitar that I've seen, and I always enjoy watching him try to make the thing warble without that level he's got on his guitar. (Nope, I don't know nothing about guitars.)
I've got some pictures up at http://fugu.cs.columbia.edu/fugu/coppermine/thumbnails.php?album=67
