It's true, I didn't. Mostly because Ian hadn't sent me any of their stuff up until that point, and I wasn't about to go see a band I'd never heard before upon his request. I mean the guy used to listen to The Offspring. (Just ask him, he'll tell you.) Of course he then sent me "Busted Heart" which led to me buying Charm School, so I've had the joy of regretting that decision since.
And it's weird, but Chicago does in fact double as a safe haven for psychotic grandmothers. I think a lot of them may have even formed biker gangs.
So since there are only three of us, I vote that Bishop Allen play my backyard. Sure it's tiny, but with it being just the band and us rare breed of Chicago fans at least we won't have to worry about lack of elbow room. Plexi and Miss KatieB, you are of course both invited; we'll have a camp-out.
