I was kind of waiting for someone to say this. I'll say what I've thought. But first, let me say I'm going to buy every one of these EPs because I support Bishop Allen completely. But in all honesty, I think at the end of the year, you could pretty much make only one great album from the best songs on the EPs. I haven't liked most of the songs. There have been a few that I've liked, but it just feels like they've reverted from their rockier form to be more....in indie style. Like, the sound that's "in" right now. I haven't heard a "Click Click Click Click" or a "Walk On By" in any of these. Not saying I want a song that sounds like it, but I haven't heard any catchy songs of that quality. But maybe these songs will be like Charm School for me. The album is okay, but live, the songs just explode. I know they're experimenting with their sound, and I'm totally cool with that. But that doesn't mean I'm a huge fan. I want to see them rock out a bit with some of these songs.
