It's only because the band has good communication with their fans that you even know that these previously recorded studio versions exist. You're asking for something that would be almost impossible to get your hands on from any other band. It's a little unfair to demand it of them when they've worked very hard to produce what they've released. It's like saying that what they've given you isn't good enough.
Yes, they performed a lot of songs that were originally slated for Clementines and we've got live recordings from those shows, but that's it. Clementines was never really finished. If it had been, you'd have it in your hands already.
If the band decided to change the songs and release them on EPs, then the band has probably decided that the "original forms" don't deserve to be heard. They went a different route with these songs for a reason (even if they're the only ones who know what it is) and I feel like we have to respect that. Keep in mind that the original versions of those songs don't represent the current band members and chances are, every single song on Clementines (if that's what it ends up being named) will be rerecorded to reflect those changes.
Point being this: The songs aren't ready to be heard until the band says so. And if they didn't release it, well, tough. Sorry, but you're not going to get a better deal anywhere else.
Well, four people don't think they're worthy while a majority do think they are worthy of being heard, how is that? Because we heard them live and we believe that the original versions are much closer to that version we heard. We really can't demand, only plead they release them. We have every right as fans to ask for these songs, doesn't mean we'll get them, but I'm gonna ask all the time.
